A one o'clock gun will be fired on Thursday 18th July 2019 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the previous firing.

Please don't ask what time it will go off grin

It will be a field gun at Woodside ferry performing the event.

Could it be One O'clock ?

Funny sort of nostalgic commemoration .

I'll try and make a point of listening for it if I'm in Merseyside, used to hear it when I was young as well as the Cammel Laird siren and a few others.

See ya at the centenary thumbsup

Only around here can something like that happen.

I completely forgot about, in any case I driving around the Bolton area at that time so wouldn't have heard.

Unfortunately there was also the 46th anniversary where a One O'Clock was fired every day for a week from Fort Perch Rock, so this is really the 4th anniversary of the 46th anniversary.
