Detectives are investigating after a 29-year-old man was assaulted by two other men in New Brighton in the early hours of Sunday morning (August 12, 2012).

Officers were called to Rowson Street by paramedics at around 3.10am to find a man suffering from a broken nose and facial injuries in what is described as an unprovoked attack.

Police are keen to trace two men of stocky build who are believed to be responsible for the attack. It is believed that they walked from Waterloo Road on to Victoria Road before assaulting the victim on Rowson Street shortly before 3.05am.

One of the men was wearing light trousers and a dark top and the other, who is shorter, was wearing dark trousers, a dark top and white shoes.

Crime scene investigators have been carrying out examinations, officers have been conducting house to house enquiries and CCTV is being sought.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with any information in connection with the incident, to come forward.

DCI Dave McCaughrean said: “This was an unprovoked attack and we are determined to bring those responsible to justice.

“We ask that anyone with any information in connection with this incident call us, no matter how small that piece of information may seem, so we can take action against the offenders.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Wirral CID on 0151 777 2265, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

To the member who has just sent me a pm with info on this, I highly recommend you contact the police with this information, I have no idea why you sent it to me.
Report it to the police ASAP

It may just be the key to the police getting these ....

have the evil mindless rats been arrested yet? can someone please try & provide us with an update? subjects like this should remain in the domain until the evil mindless rats, who are walking round in fancy white shoes, are found and held to account.

I would also like to suggest adding an additional charge for the white shoes...shame on this rat, who will have already cleaned the blood stains from them and not come forward. I hope they find this rat soon. if anyone knows a bloke who ponces around in a pair of white shoes you should forward a photo to your local police station.

ask your family, friends and all other associates 1 questipon... do you know anyone with a pair of white shoes?

I think we can narrow this one down a bit.

lets find the rats resposnsible for this appalling assault on an innocent individual.

the detail in the description will have been carefully examined before being made public to ensure that detail was accurate and specific when requesting information from the public.

if they were fancy white traineeeze the description will have said so. people are able to distinguish between the two and officers investigating the incident will have discussed this in more detail with the victim of this mindless act of violence. this could have been a murder investigation, the young chap could have died from his injuries and he also could have died with laughter as the ponce in fancy white shoes ponced on him. I hope & pray he gets well very soon.

please help find this evil minded rat.
if you know a ponce, or of a ponce who ponces around in fancy white shoes please forward a photo image to your local police station asap.
