Wirral firm offers £4,000 of fireworks for Bonfire Night
A WIRRAL firm is offering cash-strapped community groups a chance to net £4,000 of fireworks in time for Bonfire Night.
Sureswift managing director, Edward Oxnard said he was inspired to make the offer after reading about celebrations being cancelled due to lack of funds.
Mr Oxnard, whose firm is based in Bromborough, said: "Bonfire night is one of the best nights of the year for families.
"It’s a real shame that parties are being called off because cash is tight.
"So we urge any community group that wants to hold a last minute party or who wants to beef up their display to get in touch with us."
The first four groups or clubs to contact Mr Oxnard will be given £1,000 of fireworks each.
