I have a clifford. You can get them without remote start - Remote start VOIDS the Cat 1 status so get a push button if any!

Push button starts are so easy to wire up, just rewire the starter motor like this:

Starter - push button - ignition - battery - and back to the starter again wink

to be honest i wouldn't use a push button start simple reason is if your car is open then anyone can just get in and start it and drive away frown
if i was to have a push button start then i would have it alarmed up to the hilt with a tracker etc....................... to be on the safe side

thats just my peenys worth i'll shut up now <img border="0" alt="[I surrender]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions075.gif" />

You need key in the ignition to be able to activate it Tony!

Im confused. What's a push button? Sorry, i know that sounds stupid smack
Posted By: Dazza Re: push button or remote - 18th Jan 2005 6:29pm
Push a button and the car starts up, but it will only do it if the keys in the ignition depending on how u wire it and so forth.

Gadget has added one recently but it isnt wired up - lookin very nice!

Why back to the starter think you simply break into the ignition wiring, cut the starter "Trigger" wire and join one side of the switch to the starter "Trigger" wire and the other side of the switch to the ignition live, sorted......

This way will ensure you still have to have your keys and the ingition switched on before the push button will work, security issue TonyMK2 raised smack
