Went do to Interpro yesterday with my startion racing friend to watch a Lancer RR day.

Arrived to find a good few Lancers there, inc Simon Norris's own car.

Simon had promised my friend a run in the Evo, and one of Simons friends said he was on his way down, but he could have a drive of his Lancer laugh

Leightweigh, and not much grip - that was a very fun car!

Then Simon turns up in the Evo:

0-60 sub 3 secs
0-100 5.8secs
730bhp
top speed 200mph +

and offers to take us round the block smile I have to jump in the back, sort wedged between the seat and the rollcage, and braced myself.......

What can I say about this car eek Its awsome! Fitted with a sequential box, there was no lag between gears, and the acceleration make your stomack go all funny - like the feeling you get from a big drop rollercoaster!

In a very, and I mean very short space we really moving, ever gear slotted the car just pulled harder and harder, and Ive never experienced anything like it before - Im even still grinning now, and Im also sure I dented the rollcage as I was hanging on so tight laugh

Apparently he uses it as his daily drive eek

He said it was pretty good on the fuel too - when your not hooning it round, though open it up, and he claims 2mpg!!!

They aint reliable standard are they?

Good quality aftermarket parts in theory should increase reliability?

Nice car, i am jealous, the quickest car i have ever been in, is a GTiR, the was 60 in about 6 seconds.

They cant be too bad std, Mitsubishi have give a 36000mile, 3 year warrenty on the new FQ400 smile - and I cant say Ive heard many "common" problems with them smile

As far as quality of parts, I belive the ND car owes Simon in excess of £100k

I know that feeling mate, I've ridden in a sub 4 secs 0-60 Impreza before and that was incredible, topped out about 175mph. That sounds awesome though, I'm so jealous omg
