Even though i have sold my AX, and will probably never drive another one again, i will always have a soft spot for the little underrated hot-hatches.
I know they are ugly cars but, is it just me or is this a very sexy AX?
Fast as fook, apparently 0-60 in 6ish seconds.

its just you <img border="0" alt="[Roll around the floor laffin]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions065.gif" />
for the amount of time and money spent on the outside he could of updated the interior a little at least
Dont like it, still like a cerealbox. Agree w/ Adam that the money spend could of been better spent
Weight saving, this is a 550kg car, probs less than half yours and mine.
I am sure if he wanted a nice inside he would of bought a Lexus.
Personally i like the rally look, this car and about 30 odd AX's will be at Demon Tweeks meet on the 30th of october. I am going to take a trip there, will be funny i think.
weight saving doesnt mean the dash has to look ugly. could have made an effort to put some effort into making it look better, like he has with the outside. im sure if he was that bothered about saving weight he'd of used lighter rims and not bothered with heavy body modifications.
Apparently he is going to be modifying the rear end.
Maybe insides are next on the list.
liking the pug 106 gti engine, thats it
For an AX it looks realy well done particularly the outside, I too like rally interiors but also a bit of comfort and safety!
Stickin with sporty, but the rear end does need work to match up with the rest of the car
nice
i too have a soft spot for ax's, the poor little cars just dont suit the twin headlights,
once the back is sorted that will be enough for me.
oh and lots of cow skin inside for me personally, and a bit of comfort.
These little cars fly for wot they are
Thos AX's are horrid little things, but that looks really nice. The front looks amazing, that's the first frontal I've seen that looks better than the original.
Will the 1.9 GTi engine fit in an AX, is that why he went for the 1.6 I wonder?
Weight saving: A dashboard weighs about a third the weight of a person. The difference in the handling will be very noticable.
most ax's look as though they are ready for the scrappy but credit were its due that looks sweet and looks v.quick at the wheel.
The front looks really nice, hes done well to get it looking like that... but the back still looks absolutely disgusting, needs a light conversion!!!
Thats a little beast. Im liking that
Hiya
Nope sorry Rob, it looks like a little shoe box on a set of wheels. The front looks ok i spose. I aint really a fan of white cars though. The interior is a mess and needs sorting. I agree with Adam and Daz all the way

and if he wanted a fast car he wouldnt have bought an ax! lol!
no sorry dont like ax y put all that money and time in to a shoe box
not a bad lookin ax i think, side with sporty on this 1. hopefully sort inside out and the rear and it would be a stunner.
good point tony too!
Sorry i disagree with Tony.
An AX GT is totally underated and is far better, faster, IMHO nicer looking than its rivals at the time (eg Nova)
An AX is a monsterously quick car for what it is, my 1.1 done 60 in less than 12 seconds and suprised alot of 1.4's etc, not alot of 1.1's can claim the same.
Personally i like this car because he has spent the money on a car he obviously is very happy with. I would rather have this than loose value on a brand new corsa sxi for example which everyone has. Put it this way, that "slow" AX will kill most cars on the 1/4 mile.
