Just found these links that show Schmidt alloys being tested, also note they check the balence of the wheel after every video and they need no extra weights i.e are not buckled.

Schmidt do alot of aftermarket alloys for the likes of VWs but also cater for other car needs so if your going the smooth euro style look on your car these are second to none!
