Apparently my car doesnt have any and uses funky electrical thingys to create the spark! any ideas what these cud be? and does any1 know of another car that doesnt use them?

reckon u may mean that your car doesnt have ignition leads.Instead it has 4 seperate coil packs to give the spark plug the spark, lot of newish cars nowadays have this setup.

LOL, It still has spark plugs, however as woodsy said it has a coil pack directly on top of every spark plug unlike the older design where you have one coil sending the spark to the distributor and then the spark being distrubited to each spark plug through your high tension leads (Spark Plug Leads).............
