gotta get the thermostat replaced first because of the bodged wiring

then i will hunt for a set of alloys for it

but i gotta sort the stereo/speaker wiring out, the owner before last hacked the wires by the looks of it

The Thermostat sits in the coolant track (Top rad hose). A temp switch controls the fan.

...jut making sure you have ordered the right part, as if you have ordered a thermostat its prolly going to be the wrong part as it has no electrical connections on it frown

indeed mr Mac is correct. had to sort this problem myself on my C20XE engine as there thermostat wouldn't open. no wires on it all
Posted By: Tony_1985 Re: New car on its way - 11th Jan 2008 5:56pm
well, a small but puzzling problem shown itself this morning

last night, battery fully charged
this morning, battery dead

everytime i recharged it, within 15 mins it was flat again

so..

£50 later, a new battery was fitted
Posted By: Cali_16v Re: New car on its way - 11th Jan 2008 5:59pm
Could be the alt draining the battery if a new battery doesn't fix the problem.
Posted By: Tony_1985 Re: New car on its way - 11th Jan 2008 6:29pm
