Sounds lovely but I will going out on Saturday twice, afternoon and evening, does this mean I will have to negotiate traffic jams getting in and out of New Brighton.

They could have made it festive, think I might stay in and watch it through the window save the chaos, I'm only short and end up not seeing things like this without stilts

It was shite.

Aw that's a shame as it sounded like it might be really good. Glad I didn't change my plans now

I went. We were close to the lanterns and stuff when they gathered close to the Light Cinema. quite impressive close up and then went behind cafe creme to watch them parade around the lake from a distance--it was then we realised that the crowd was much bigger thronged along the prom. Couldnt understand the story commentary and the fiery finale was a few fireworks and a floating boat that was supposed to be a lighthouse. Give it 6 out of 10 mostly for the hard work in making the lanterns. The smoked haddock baked florentine and a pint of real ale in a cosy Bassett Hound afterwards however got a 9 out of 10
