Nope hun, there are 100% legal.
The way allot of company's get around this is by advertising them as a DRIVING AID. Saying that its a safety decice alerting drivers to accident blackspots and the likes of....

Road Angel are bringing out the Navigator, It works the way a normal RA works but has built in SatNav, its ment to be the bogs dangles but will cost about £700 once released.

i have a road angle 2 and its brill, classed as black spot detectors or safety devices.
