sorry if your into drift and D1 then the skyline is amazing, your right it isnt the fast of them all but its a drift master thats why its RWD. If scooby was going for 4WD then i dont think he would have drift decals on it it would be more HKS and blitz etc etc. there is a difference in all cars depending in what style you want to go for. the saxo is great for traffic light grand prix. the skyline is a drifter. there fore two different cars, two different opinions. personall saxo not my cup of tea but a lot of work has gone into it and would make for a quicker banger.

a big huge skyline, yes quick, (not one of the quickest) loaded with ICE possibly batterd engine wise.
but jay just turn the boost up hey, sure to go faster then

That saxo weighs more than 800Kg thats for sure. The factory kerbweight is more than that. And "down the lanes" it'd get cained by the liner. How much power that liner but out, and,as is always said. How much torque.
However, this isnt about what is the better car, clearly the skyline is but a)u couldnt afford the liner and B)u dont want the liner.u want a 200BHP chavmobile.each to their own. Not havin a pop mate, just my opinion

saxo's are abit chav yes. but that is by no means chav its got over 200 brake and a decent set of alloys and lowered FFS. out of the 2 the liner is a lot more chav by MILES.
my 106 standard is 950. strip that saxo and you'd get it to between 800-850kg, not hard.
scoop down the lanes it would not get caned by a liner AT ALL. its a big heavey huge car against a light hot hatch that would possibly match it to bhp per tonne
and if asking what is the better car all depends how much money you like to waste and what you want out of a car a) shock people b) look a complete pillac

Skyline = typical Japanese overengineering Saxo = French
Throw a new gearbox, crankshaft, etc that'll take the beating of a tiny, underpowered eaton supercharger (I've got one - you wonder why mini owners replace them) as well. You may as well put a new engine from a 'better' car in there, if it'll fit in. I'm not having a go at you, I'm having a go at over-optimism.

look, it doesn t matter if the saxo could beat an f1 car car, the fact is its a poorly built car, its small, dated, unsafe, chavy, crap, poorly made, not japaneese, ugly, small, uncomfortable, unpleasant, horrible french, its just shit, oooooooooo its fast, wow, other than that, its a bag of shit, thats why he s gettin rid, and why on ebay there are a million saxo s for sale, id seriously rather drive a primara than that, at least its sensible, you should only buy a car like that if you have a runner, mind u i had a runner, and that civic still got me down, plus do you realise how much in petty it willll cost to run, stick with your 106. or go for some thing better made

I'm not saying they're bad cars, the engineering is a bit ancient though. And I'm not saying you shouldn't get that Saxo either, it's looks awesome.

Is it not worth splitting the diffrence Garry?
What i mean is you hoping to get the car for £5000.
What about putting £2500 into you car you have now?
---- I think alot of drivers get alot more satisfaction out of work they have had done to there cars, rarther than buying someone elses idea's.
Its the same old storey your going to have to put your mark on it pretty quick if you went for it? As it would always be "The bloke before me".
I say if you want to become a saxo driver go for what ever will give you the most pleasure and the least head aches.
I think the car you have now is sweet, unless i'm missing somthing?
