Very, very common engine conversion in the Mk1 and 2 Escorts, and go very well on TB's or Carbs. Speaking to someone who prepares them the other week though, and he said the Vauxhall engine is on its way out in these cars in favour of the new Ford Duratec engines Still, I guess the XE motor has been round for quite a while now..

not seen any duratec ones yet? ive seen a few with vaux engines in tho,and one or two with the YB in,scoobys included.U lookin at buyin one stuey?

looks swish looking at it, it look like it has water injection as you can see the hoses to the left of the throttle bodies

rhys i think thats fuel injection lol,isnt it??? they look like the lines to the fuel rail on the inlet manifold.
