I lived in Oliver Place and in the 1950's there were no houses in Millers Place, it was just a piece of land we called the bombie (or bombfield?) and as far as I can remember no bricks or remains of houses were there . We used to dig worms up there for fishing and was where we had our bonfire on bonfire night
bigpete, try the reference library, Borough Road. I went there looking for information about such a, now extinct, place called Carpenter's Row. Not only did they give me information on it, they provided me with two photographs which were taken early last century before it was demolished. Living conditions were dreadful. Well worth a visit if you haven't already. They are very helpful people.
