The Wirral Egg Run takes place this Sunday, 1st April, starting at New Brighton and ending at Clatterbridge Hospital.
As usual, thousands of bikes set off at 11 am for the 20 mile run. The route is the same as last year. It takes the lead bikes about 45 mins to get there, but it takes about an hour for the last of the bikes to cross the start line, as so many are involved.
Naturally, some traffic disruption is involved, and some tempoary road closures are in place, so you may need to plan your day if you need to go out. At least, this is probably the quickest event to pass by, from start to finish, of those held on the Wirral.
5 Precepts of Buddhism seem appropriate. Refrain from taking life. Refrain from taking that which is not given. Refrain from misconduct. Refrain from lying. Refrain from intoxicants which lead to loss of mindfulness
I was watching it go past in Hoylake with a beer and a burger so you would not have seen me. Ive got some photos here. I might post the better ones when I get home later.
