There's a B18 engine'd Accord (the one with the red cam cover, I don't know too much about these) in A1 Breakers in Ellesmere Port if anyone's interested.

The Accords are a H22s The 1.8s and non Type R cars are F Series engines and not really performance orientated. The H22 is similar to the K20 as fitted to the Civic Type R - the engine is quite different from the B Series and the conversion is more complicated.

Ye Accords are h22's and a Grrr to put in a civic I heard. I may need to go for a trip round a few breakers yards, see if i can find any bargains Also my wheels are for sale if anyone is interested

Looks like a nice project Having only ever delt with B Series lumps, in not 100% on the d to b series swap, but a few things worth checking... Loom and ECU - do you need one from the B Series the motor came from? Gear linkage? Clutch - is the B18C4 hydraulic? Shafts - are the shafts interchangeable or do you need the B16 / 18 shafts and hubs? Had the car been a VTi then it would have been a lot easier, but as its a D series, Im not sure how much on the car will work with the B18 motor.

Im using a p28 ecu with a b18c4 basemap with a conversion harness to use my loom Driveshafts, gearbox and gear linkages all came with the swap Everything should be covered just need to get it in

Happy days Swap the inlet before you fit the motor (If its not too late, cancel the Blox one and get a DC2 one - Blox and Skunk2 are Type R copies anyway ) - there is a support bracket under the manifold and when the motor is in the car, it can be a pig to get at ...and dont forget to take pics, lots of pics - we like pics

Definately swapping it before i put the motor in. I changed the inlet on my d-series with a better one whilst the engine was in and it was a nightmare! Thanks for the advice Stu! Wish i had a Teg Id love some of those polycarb windows but im a bit skint atm! Maybe next year Il get loads of pics dont worry

Ended up going for the blox intake manifold from H-tune ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0003-4.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0025-1.jpg) Took the old Inlet mani bracket off the back which wasnt needed ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0022-2.jpg) Also bought a jdm 96 spec 2.5" mani. Will do for now until i get a stainless one ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0029-1.jpg) And some new jdm wheels - Go Zeegans! about 2.6lbs lighter and 15 inch which is better for track. They are 50 profile though so look quite chunky. ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0020-1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0021-1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0004-2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0002-6.jpg) They do need a refurb and one wheel the paint is fuberd and all the polished lips are pitted but its another little project Engine conv is starting this w/e Bit worried incase something goes wrong or i forget something though! Need to transfer the ek3 engine loom onto the b18c4 engine once it is out. Anyone know how hard this is?

Joe, swapping the looms over shouldnt be too hard, especially with the motor out of the car - everything should be pretty easy to spot Cheers Stu was pretty straight forward as you said. A few plugs had to be etended and some rewiring of certain sensors but it all worked out ok. Im still getting a code for the iacv valve but il have a mess about later Right so heres some pics ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0136-1.jpg) Car jacked up and in the garage ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0140.jpg) On its way out ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0143.jpg) Finally out! ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0144.jpg) New engine on the crane out the van ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0145-1.jpg) Swapped the ek3 loom onto the b18c4 ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0149-1.jpg) dropped in ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0004-3.jpg) Manifold on ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0006-2.jpg) Boom! Also fitted a 2.5" b-pipe with the 96 teg mani so now the system is a full 2.5". I have a type r steering rack and power steering pump on the way too

Looking good Cheers mate, can't wait to get it on the road so iv sorted the code that i was getting for the tps and 02 sensor Now all im getting is an code for iacv so need to sort that out. I eventually found some caliper pistons so built my front calipers back up with the new seals ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0006-3.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0002-8.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0003-6.jpg) Also bought some oem pads, will get some better ones for track later on in the year ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0041-1.jpg) And finally my new seats ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0038-1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0039-1.jpg) 3.5kgs each, just need to make some brackets for them to fit on my ek9 rails. Iv also got an ek9 steering rack and pas pump so that can go on when i do the brakes. Some other bits are on the way from tegiwa aswel Then once all this stuff is in it should be ready for tax, m.o.t and insurance

Those seats dont look too comfy The 262s on the rear are a great upgrade. I had the OEM 240 discs on the back of the race car, and the 262's with some grooved discs are a huge improvement on the track - they balance the front brake upgrade perfectly

Cant wait to test them out, just need to fit the new servo and master cylinder then bleed them. You running the 282's on the front stu? If so how are they on track? I did a partial wire tuck tonight in between other jobs on the car. Wheels will be getting sprayed soon aswel ![[Linked Image]](http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab303/joeleoek3/DSC_0093.jpg) Looks loads better Still need to rip all the abs stuff out and sort the battery wires. Will be much neater once im finished swapping the powersteering pump and ek9 rack as i can tuck more of it under them.
