i am looking for information on an austin van owned by birkenhead buses. the number was PBG 652. i think it was the l d range. i presume it was the engineers van or maybe cleaners.
I've had a trawl through the various books I've got on B'head Corp. buses. The only references I can find to non-passenger stuff are the various old buses that were converted to recovery vehicles, tree loppers etc. The Austin van is a mystery.
Some folk down at the Tram/Bus Museum have an in-depth knowledge of the Birkenhead's fleet. Might be worth asking ?
thnanks pinsgaeur i saw the picture on e bay and copied it [naughty] i to have the books but cant find anything. i go to the museum on sundays i will ask, just thought someone might know ,

Might be mistaken but it looks like it's parked outside the old Whitbread/Birkenhead brewery site in Livingston st, next to the pub The Old English Gent.
