As told to me by an eyewitness
About 10 o' clock this morning about a dozen police cars and 2 of the large vans blocked off the roads from St James church to Mercer Road because
"a man (who was on medication) had tried to cut off his hand with an axe and then ran back into his house and got a knife and started slashing himself then run up the street threatening to stab anyone who got in his way (kids, women there)
Was told he ran into a house in Egan and the police after doing a search of the area knocked the door in and put 2 police dogs then they sent officers in with stab vests on
Was told the guys name but am withholding it

said person so I'm told has been for psychiatric treatment into hospital several times and then let out after a few days
probably stopped taking his medicine
Just makes you wonder who's out there and only taking the medicines that stop them from harming themselves or other people
