Hi does anyone have a HAYNES book on the Rover 416si that I could borrow PLEASE?
I have had the Gasket and Belts changed but cant seem to get it going. I think it is ether timing or the firing order. If you can't lend it to me, please message anyway if you can help with these problems.
Where can I get some diagrams as cant find anything on the 'net?
It is not geting any compresion. Could we be missing something else?
Thanks Peter

I think I may have one. If not, I DEFINITELY have a couple of Rover ones with that engine covered.

Is it 8v or 16v? I think the timing marks on the cam sprocket, INLET points to exhaust side! I've remember I have the Rover/MG workshop manual on CD. Will have a look or do you a copy. Can wing it over tonight.

Sorry to be a pain in the.......
Does anyone know if they have these in the library (Seems a long shot) as the bloke fixing my car is in a hurry to get it off his drive.
Would like to get it out of his way today if possible, before it overstays its welcome anymore than it already has.
Thanks
PS Violet your PM box is full.

Got the book, if you pm me your address (now emptied!) I can pop it through your letterbox. It's a Metro/100 haynes, but has the K16 engine in it (all the kseries are the same anyway).

Thanks but I shot up to central library on the off chance and they had it.
Dropped it off to the bloke doing the work and he thinks he had just seen where he went wrong. Hopefully he will right it tonight.
Thanks for the offer Mate.
