with a corsa on 15s, you could probably lower it about 60mm. you'll need new dampers though cos you'll hammer your standard ones and they could bottom out. exploding_penguin's the dude to ask. im pretty sure the only thing he likes more than a huge ICE install is a slammed car on its ass.

You can simply replace the suspension springs and that will lower your car by the desired amount (40mm if you use 40mm springs). The Kits you are refering to normally come with Up-Graded Dampers (Shock Absorbers) which obviously improve the car's handling even more than if you just lowered it. Basically the cheap option is simply to replace the standard springs with the lowered springs, or if your feeling flush you can replace the whole kit (Lowered springs and up-graded dampers).... Your Choice <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions049.gif" />
With regards to your wheels catching your wheel arches, the fronts are normally safe, Plenty of clearance there, The rears can catch depending on the offset of your wheels. You could allways call into our Main sponsers garage Autosafe and they will check it out for you, free of charge.....
Lowering the car can up-set the wheel alignment settings and possibly the camber/castor angles of the steering geometry. Be sure to have this checked and possibly re-set after having the work carried out....

your best off buying springs and dampers.
the uprated dampers have thicker oil than standard dampers, and can withstand more of a beating than standard dampers with thinner oil in them (thinner oil for a comfier ride) so miss-matching uprated springs with standard dampers can result in oil p!ssing out of the dampers, and you dont want that!
hope this helps
