Scoop : There is allot of things that arnt right with the car, the induction kit is the very last of my concerns. The boost is already set at 21 p.s.i. which i think is high enough to be honest. You dont understand just how fast this thing is mate. 300BHP per tonneThats stupis quick. I am consertrating on getting the mechanics right first like the slipping clutch etc etc..... The exhaust is causing problems as its fouling on the bulkhead and the steering columb and then the rear suspension needs sorting out as it sounds like its about to drop off. This will take time and patients but it will come good eventually, in the meantime i am going to have some mega fun Thanks for the vote on the new toy everyone. I am buzy looking at what i need to do to get this pushing 450 BHP as im am learning that these kind of performance figures are very easily achievable with the Cosworth engine. Bring it on

"I am buzy looking at what i need to do to get this pushing 450 BHP as im am learning that these kind of performance figures are very easily achievable with the Cosworth engine." Contradiction????? Upping the boost like i said,The internals can take it.-31 actuator help or is the actuator currently better than that already?

Scoop, are you really attempting to tell me standard Cosworth internals are good for 31 p.s.i. boost ??
Where is the contradiction ?
To gain 450 BHP i am fully aware i will need to fully upgrade the internals which is very easily done on this engine, could do it with my eyes shut......

IIRC the Green injectors are good for about 350bhp on the Cossie Motors, and pretty sure mahle make forged pistons. The 2WD T3 (You mentioned it was the smaller one) will struggle to hold anymore than 25psi without efficiency being totally compramised, you could go bigger, but then you get lag, and more of a kick. I guess the problem will be balancing the drivability and performace As for the 31psi, try and get more performance from the engine rather than the boost level Bring it out tonight Jay, even if you have to nurse it on the clutch, it certainly is a head turner
What If There Were No Hypothetical Questions?

Bosch 803 (Green) injectors are good for 350bhp as stuy says. Mahle pistons come at standard but they do make forged ones in the region of £500, if your swapping the pistons Iv read that you may aswell swap the headgasket for a GroupA spec one as this will take you to 400bhp+
Scoop you dont realise what your saying, you fit a -31actuator as the standard one opens at 10psi wheres as a -31 opens at 14-15psi, to be running 22psi i think its safe to safe jase donesnt need a new one yet - and upping the boost to 31psi is just stupid on standard internals.

"Engine Specification Was built 3 years ago (3000 miles), new parts fitted as follows: Mahle pistons plus rings. Burtons competition cam belt. Main bearings, big ends, thrusts, all gaskets which includes group A head gasket, cylinder head cam bearings. New water pump, new coil and phase sensor, new sillicone ignition leads. Cylinder head was pressure tested, all valves reseated and new guide seals fitted, retained standard cams. 4 x 4 manifold small turbo runs happily at 22 psi. Turbo has Group A restrictor fitted to pass scrutineering. Upgraded wastegate actuator/bleed valve fitted. Engine has green injectors 3 bar map sensor and uprated chip in ECU, Group A dump valve. Runs a 4 x 4 intercooler. Cone air filter with cool air intake. Proper new Radtech radiator to keep everything cool properly! Runs sweet as a nut!" So it already has a grp A head gasket and a restrictor to keep the boost down for "scrutineering" take the restrictor off and you'll be up to 22PSI. A -31 actuator does not mean 31PSi for future reference A lot of RSTs run -31 actuators as it ups the boost and provides cheap easy power,Not sure if the -31 would actuallt benefit a cossie lump. Heres a Good guide to tuning the YB

Where did you get the fly wheel skimmed jay and how much did it cost? Do they do lightening and balancing where you got it done?

MEP (Merseyside Engine Parts) done the flywheel mate, they dont do lightening and balancing.
To lighten and balance the whole engine must be done together and not just the flywheel.
