They did a recruitment day at the Floral a couple of weeks ago, or at least they collected CV's from people.

Try looking on the company website. There may be other recruitment days still to come.

Keep trying.

They'll probably be recruiting for the new Birkenhead Asda in the coming months as well.

the vacancies for morrisons will 'go live' with jobcentreplus on monday 20th june and you should be able to view them through the direct.gov.uk website. there will be open days in connection with vacancies but you must apply for one of the vacancies to get a slot at the open days. all the details should be on the vacancies on the 20th.

The jobs are being advertised on the job centre website, but you have to ring up to book a place for one of the open days. I have been trying to ring for 3 hours and it is engaged all the time. But I will keep trying.

Birkenhead job centre Friday.

Kimmy did you go in the end?

Anyone know if the job centre is open this Thursday?
Posted By: missj Re: morrisons, New brighton - 27th Jun 2011 2:31pm
So far I have attended 2 "open days" for positions in the new development in New Brighton, the one in the Floral Pavillion was the last straw. So far as I could, tell it was one huge ego trip for job centre staff to stand round with clipboards, quoting www.direct.gov.uk as the point of reference for vacancies, they wouldn't accept any CV's as "there were no reps from HR from any of the companies recruiting" according to one very scruffy Job Centre assistant. I am currently part time employed but need a full time job, therefore I had to take time off work to be a part of this shambles. I truly felt as though the job centre staff were blocking anybody from applying and were making things as difficult as possible for the would-be applicants. I'll wait until Morrisons etc have discovered they have employed the wrong people thanks to the mismanagement of the recruitment process and hopefully pick up a job a little while later! Good luck to all who have managed to get to interview stage, you deserve a job for your ability to jump through all the red tape covered hoops at the very least!
Posted By: free_spirit Re: morrisons, New brighton - 27th Jun 2011 4:24pm
Hi
Sorry you feel like that.
The one at floral wasn't to recruit it was so
People could see what would be going there etc
Not to apply for jobs.
This morrisons one was to inform ppl about the
Jobs & roles etc & to get an application form.

Won't find out for couple weeks if we have managed
To get an interview.

Good luck in your search.

Home bargains are opening there too and will
Be after lots of staff.
Website. Tjmorris.

No, I live too far away I think. I would have to get 2 trains to get there. Seemed a bit of a pointless trip.

Jobcentres are usually open everyday until around 5pm -ish
