Hi,

I am currently between contracts, I work abroad as an electrical / electronic engineer, and I am looking for some short term work to do until the middle of Jan, or at til christmas.

The job centre was a bit of a joke, they just referred me to recruitment agencies.

I did consider applying for the Royal mail christmas relief but you have to list every job and any break longer than fourteen days, since I have done a lot of short term contracts that would take me ages to fill out.

Cheers,

My actual job is doing electrical mods / updates to 747 aircraft and VIP buisness jets.

Not much call for that on the wirral

It has gone very quiet at the moment for contracts though fully expect to be starting again early jan

Basically looking for something, open to all offers, to tide me over till then and put a bit of xmas money in pocket

Two available jobs spring to mind straight away.

1) Part-time mechanic (see paulgilly).

2) Replace missing copper piping.

Had a temp job a few years back at Meyer prestage, bromborough.

Two of us were given a lorry load of pressure cookers, a sledge hammer and a crusher. Our job was to put a big dent in the pan and the lid, smash the valve and throw it all into the crusher.

Quite enjoyable in a strange way. lol
