So i've saw a job I'd like to do and have wrote up a cover letter to accompany my CV as per the employer's request. Below is the description of the job from the website and then the main contents of my cover letter below that. I want to know if there's anything I should maybe change/add/remove from it. Thanks!

Description
Duties include running and maintenance of digital printing equipment and software. You will be trained in general sign making. Computer skills are essential and Photoshop/Illustrator knowledge is a definite benefit.
----------------------------------------------------------

Dear Employer's name,

I am writing to you in response to your advert for a Digital Print Trainee I saw on the Job Centre Plus website. I have enclosed a copy of my CV for your perusal.

I am interested in this position as I have a great willingness and desire to learn and work within the printing industry. I have a keen eye for detail and offer a much focused approach to all work I carry out to ensure deadlines are met with maximum efficiency and minimal drama. As part of my hobby I design websites in Photoshop and have a good understanding of the application. I have a very creative nature and believe I have got all of the relevant skills and abilities for the position advertised.

I look forward to hearing from you soon to discuss my application further.

Yours sincerely

Mr Andrew Martin

Good advice Cathie. Just as long as you don't actually put "I have deleted all of the relevant skills and abilities" Andrew. That would give them a laugh. LOL.

Good luck. It makes a pleasant change to see someone actually write a good application letter these days and with Cathie's grammar corrections, it is even better. Being on the receiving end at times, I have seen all sorts in my time and the standard of English is just getting worse and worse all the time! I've even seem some using txt abbreviations! Ow n rth do thy xpct 2 gt the jb?

Mind you one can sit there all day interviewing someone, but at the end of the day the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Good luck anyway soldier!

cheers mate and i totally agree. i've never been on the other side of the interviewing process myself, but can imagine employers to get some great applications only to find once they've taken the candidate on it was just a load of fabricated bullsh*t. lol
