The satellite view on Met Office Website shows this smoke is
coming from the moorland fire in Greater Manchester.
We don't want that. Hope they get it sorted soon, but it's still quite serious by the reports coming through.
Wind has shifted so that the smoke is now missing N Wirral.
I could smell a burning smell last night in North Wales, it was quite strong, could've been from the moors fire.

That rig tends to burn off waste gas/oil around dusk. You can see a flame
and often black smoke.
He reckons this has been going on for a few days now .
