Poor girl who made the own goal. She must be gutted and feeling it was the worst day of her life right now ,with the eyes of the country on her and probably press everywhere.

At least she's not on her own with that feel for her but same can happen to any of the best players but they can be proud of themselves

Very proud of Our Lionesses, they did our country proud.

My nearly 95 year old grandad remarked 'much less spitting and foul language, than the fellas. (They)Play better too'.

Well done Lionesses. Some of you will be household names now- deserved too. An inspiration for young female players. thumbsup

Well Done to England ,They beat Germany last night 1 -0.

Germany started the game very well but the English defence seemed to beat their game plans and to some extent Germany fell apart. In my mind Bardsley the goal keeper won the game for England, I haven't watched the earlier games where she has been criticised. Full marks to Fara Williams, going for a bottom corner shot while bluffing under that pressure takes nerves of steel.

Referee didn't have an easy job, the boundaries between tackles and fouls seem very vague. Personally I'd prefer both the men's and women's game to be more about football skills and less of a wrestling/rugby match but its the media is where the money is and they want more action and controversy. I'll stick to watching tennis and badminton.
