A LITTLE girl plans to get her long hair cut off to help make wigs for sick children.

Six-year-old Amelia Brayley came up with the idea after the daughter of one of her mum’s friends died of cancer.

The youngster, whose locks have grown past her waist, will have 12in of hair cut off and donate it all to the Little Princess Trust, which makes hairpieces for children who have lost their own through cancer treatment.

Castleway primary school pupil Amelia will go to the hairdresser on January 10.
Her mum Michelle Jones, of Leasowe, added: “We are really proud of her for what she is doing. She is very mature for her age and there are not many children who have just turned six who would think to do something like this.”

What a wonderful gift Amelia has given. She must be very proud of herself and I hope her school give her recognition.
