Hello WikiWirral Forums!

This is the first post of the official account of the New Brighton Community Centre and we would like to inform the users of these boards about the Lunch Club that we run every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The tables open at 12PM and the meal is served around 12:30PM.

Don’t worry if you’re not a New Brighton resident, this invitation is open to all! We have friendly service staff, many regulars and it’s a great way to meet new people and possibly, make new friends!

It’s a three course meal, consisting of a soup starter, main course and dessert for £4.00! Yes, you read that right, only four pounds!

The meal is set and varies every day. However, it is dependant on ingredients; so we may not be able to cater to vegetarians every day. That does not mean that we wish to exclude anyone because of dietary choices; just contact us ahead of time and we shall try our best to provide for you!

Bookings are not usually required, unless you wish to attend with a party of five or more. If this is the case, please contact the Community Centre on 0151 630 2626 to book your party in.

The New Brighton Community Centre is situated on Hope Street, New Brighton, just off Rowson Street, behind the Co-Op Supermarket on Victoria Road. A map of the location can be found by clicking here

If you have any further questions about our Lunch Club, or any of the other clubs and services that the Community Centre offers, please leave a message below - or contact us on 0151 630 2626.

What a brilliant service to have in the community....well done to everyone involved ^_^
Thanks Sneezy! I've passed your thanks on to our staff of volunteers, we're just happy to help!

Currently the dining room is a little bare, but we are seeking assistance from the local community to provide artwork, photographs or perhaps written memories and pieces on local history to brighten the place up a bit.

If anybody would like to contribute their work to this; perhaps you want to donate a piece or display your work for sale? Please either drop in to discuss, or call the centre on 0151 630 2626.

The Community Centre also hosts a regular art class on Monday afternoons between 1PM and 3PM.

The class is open all, no matter whether your level of artistic talent is akin to one of the masters like Dali, Picasso and Rembrandt or you just prefer to paint by numbers! Either way, all the materials and full tuition will be provided.

For further information regarding the art class, please contact Iris on 0151 638 8472.
