tesco is shut due to power cut store petrol station and cash points all shut

Hi, have tesco opened again yet?

I've been past within the last hour and it was still closed off. And they cancelled my home delivery!

why would police block it off though?

No police there, it's a power outage! Think of all the waste!

Someone said the police were there from around 8 this morning blocking off all entrances

No Ste, they rang me earlier to tell me there had been a power outage and there was a £10 voucher in my inbox! I thought they may offer to deliver the following day but no such luck lol.

Tesco's opened back up at 10 o'clock tonight,i was the only customer in there for about ten minutes,

all the frozen food and cold food got binned,

I would have thought that a place that big would have it's own emergency generator. Wish I could have got to the bins in time!

Tesco delivered to us this morning. We had to
resubmit the order, they had lost
the original. Seems it was an electrical fault,
not lack of supply. Everything in the store was
off - just emergency lighting on, so store had
to be shut and loads of stuff dumped.

We are waiting for the once in 10 year storm
to test the spray wall behind Morrisons and
if the storm is as big as last time, it would
flood the main promenade in front of the new
development.
