No I haven't been robbing of church rooves!

Some scallys damaged the lead on the front of my house and I ended up replacing it with flashbanding and thus have a six foot piece of lead in my garage. I have heard that it's worth a few quid (hence toerags trying to steal for drug money!) and wouldn't mind shifting it on.

Does anyone know anywhere on the Wirral that buys small quantities of scrap lead and whether there's anything I'd need to do to prove I'm not a criminal! laugh

McCoys scrap merchants (by newferry bypass), no id or anything needed just weight it and get your money. You'll only get a tenner or so I would imagine.

A mate of mine who because of his business always ends up with lead, copper, etc to weigh in, he always takes his to the scrap yard by the Carlton pub. I would imagine there is a set price per weight or near enough wherever you take it. A small amout like you have won't fetch much, it may be worth keeping hold of it, in case you find a use for it in the future.

The place behind the carlton is good for small quantity's.

Copper pricing has shot up in recent weeks.
