Hi,

Rereading my old diaries as a schoolboy in Wallasey in 1966, I note that I frequently purchased secondhand singles - 45s - from Exchange Mart in Wallasey, probably Liscard. But I cannot place where the shop was. I also bought lots of records from Kharduni's Joke Shop in King Street, and can recall exactly where that was.

But whereabouts was Exchange Mart located? Can anyone help?

Thanks!

That's exactly where it was, the entrance was a doorway to the right of where the steps are, the steps where access to upstairs which I think was a solicitors.

Fantastic responses - thanks! I remember it well, now that my memory has been jogged. It was a great place to buy secondhand records in the sixties. And I'm so glad I kept them to play now, and to introduce my grandchildren to great sixties music!
