Hi all - I'm looking to buy a house in New Ferry, I don't know much about the area as I only really know the Wallasey side of the Wirral. What's it like in New Ferry? I'm a 30 year old woman looking for somewhere affordable but safe. I've been looking at Pool Bank Road area.

Any advice would be great

New Ferry is the same as most areas of the Wirral, there are good parts and less good parts and even different parts of the road can be disparate.

Pool Bank Road is in Port Sunlight Village and is absolutely fine other than restrictions because of its protected status, it is not normally classed as New Ferry.

Thanks diggingdeeper - there's Pool Bank which is 100% in Port Sunlight village but Pool Bank Road is off New Chester Road, one road over from Elmbank Road, if that makes a difference smile

Poolbank Road, there has been an ongoing problem there, possibly related to one household which in a small road is worrying. The police are there most months. I'll PM you more details.

New Ferry isnt too bad to be honest. Ideal for shops, school, beb station is only down the road, wouldnt say it was handy for motorways tho
