Is the new Walrus card going to work the same as an Oyster Card , and whats the difference between the Walrus card, and a railpass smart card thats coming in ?
The Walrus isn't new, its been around for years.
Railpass joins Saveaway, Solo and Arriva and Stagecoach weekly passes as part of the range of ticket products which can be loaded onto what is currently known as the Walrus card.

It's nearly June, and upon enquiring about getting a weekly Railpass on my Walrus card, I was told that I'd have to bring a passport photo for "The Pass", and I'll get a bunch of tickets printed out for the week.
I'm going to assume that nobody told the station attendant about all these plans and goals. It can't really be this crap, can it? This card's basically useless to me if so. It would only cost me 50p more than a railpass for my commute, but it'd be nice to save time and paper by not getting ten return tickets each week.
