Why don't people hand in lost items (wallet/purse) - 2nd Feb 2018 2:08pm
I lost my wallet on New Year's Eve at Asda Bromborough petrol station.
I was filling up and a car came in behind so I rushed and inadvertently left my wallet on the pump.
Realising this, I contacted Asda to check the CCTV on the camera there - they asked for a rough time, I gave them the precise time I was there.
They said they didn't see anything. not sure if they actually checked ...
I'm assuming the person in the car behind me picked it up, and then assume they just went through it, took whatever was valuable and assume they chucked it out of the window on the A41.
I once found a purse in Liverpool, and took it back to that person's house the next day. I was 100% certain I'd receive some notification from someone as it had so much ID in there that it would take minutes to find me online (facebook/linkedin/ etc). How hard can it be?
