The first one looks like it's of the Bund in Shanghai. I think the Wirral Multicultural centre in Conway St has a translation service. Might be worth having a word with them. I know lots of Chinese people use the centre.

Well after using the Drawing tool on Google translate i get China Hangzhou , the rest is a bit difficult to get, i will keep trying till it makes more sense!

China Hangzhou Dong fang hong Silk Weaving Factory (The East is Red)

Apparently it used to be called Dujingsheng Factory.

On the first picture, the writing on the right says "Shanghai Nanjing Road", which is the subject of the embroidery. I can't read the writing on the left as most is written in Simplified Chinese.
