plenty of decent info on compare sites. just switching mine from a fixed rate to a tracker which has no product fee and no early repayment charge as we want to pay off a lump sum.

Never take " advice " from someone who gains £ from you
Do your own research
Think of all the people who believed the bull when labour was in "oh yes sir you earn ten k but ill make it work if you want that 250 k house "

Find a whole of market advisor that doesnt charge

Well I heard that advisor doesn't charge me but bank and banks pay more less the same to advisors
It's my first purchase that's why I'd have few questions
