just received a claughton and noctorum labour news letter through the post with lots of nice pics and bits of neighbour hood news in and was wondering is there any local elections due as it is the first time I recall receiving news around my area and would like to vote for councillors who I know are involved all year round rather than at election time when we get bombbardeded with news ltters.

The job and responsibilities these days are so complex for Councillors that it makes it a difficult job to select a competent person, whatever party they attach themselves to.

Well the only candidate to knock at our door was the Tory. Where's the UKIP candidate for the local and the European elections? No sign of labour or the liberals. I keep reading that UKIP are going to wipe out the other parties, but can't see it happening on the Wirral as they don't even put flyers through the letter box. I reckon the turnout will be less than ever. People are disillusioned with the lot of them.
