I noticed people walking dogs and strolling in the new park the other day. It seems they were getting in via a break in the fencing (now sealed again) and I went in too for a quick look. It seems pretty well finished to me and the bit I saw is absolutely lovely. I can't wait for it to be opened. The views across the river are stunning!

Looking at the web site it is supposed to open this summer, but no date is fixed for this. Does anyone know exactly when it is supposed to open? It has recently been given more land by Unilever, and presumably this will require more work, so I hope this doesn't delay opening of the original site.

From what i have been told the land given is the area from the a41 bridge alongside the river. Their is a problem with access from Bromborough pool as biffa will not allow access on that side using their hgv bridge. The pontoon bridge needs replacing but not at the present time.

Apart from that all is running to plan and still scheduled for a summer opening.

It does say on the website that it's phase 1 that's due to open in the summer, so presumably the additional land would be part of phase 2. It does look beautiful from the gallery images and plan - I remember when they first started the tip there, what an eyesore it was. Great that it's being turned into something so lovely, I'll look forward to visiting

What is happening on the land of the old driving range just off the A41 is this going to be part of the park? Originally id heard new homes were to be built on it.

I think the new park land is next to this site. It extends from the Dibbin to Pool Lane - effectively behind the volkswagen garage.
