I have a question about outdoor fairy lights. If I want to put them outside, how do I plug them in if I have no socket? Is it possible to change the plug to the type of fitting that would go into the light bulb socket in the porch?
Years ago, we had fairy lights with the type of connector that plugged into the ceiling light. Do they still exist and if so, where can I get one from.

(and yes, I know it's only October, but I like to prepare smile )

Elizabeth,

Have a qualified electrician fit you am outdoor socket. Only purchase properly certified outdoor lighting & have your electrician fit them.

I was thinking about outdoor electricity sockets the other day, with garden lighting in mind. Then I thought - are they secure? I mean is anyone likely to come along and plug their stuff in your socket. (You know what I mean, no mucky thoughts please!)
