How much would it cost to renovate a terraced house that would need a lot of work if I'm using professionals?

Does it need a new roof, plastering all over, new kitchen, new bathroom, damp course, full re-wire, garden/yard sorting, rendering, ceilings, double glazing, internal doors, painting inside/outside, new guttering, new boiler and radiators(how many and what size?)?. That will do for a list for now, cheers.

£800 to paint/decorate a whole house interior and exterior.

That's very cheap unless you are just talking labour.

Double glazing would probably cost more - £3k+ also if you need new exterior doors included - possibly around £5-6K for a 3-bed terrace. Depends on the plastering - could be small jobs and included in with the decorating costs, if you negotiate with the decorator. Check for grants for boilers and radiators, insulation from energy trusts or council as these can be free or at a very low cost.
