I think you will find the Wirral has about 30 labour councillors
It depends where you live.

Liscard 3
Seacombe 3
New Brighton 3
Moreton none
Leasowe 2 and 1 conservative Ian Lewis
Wallasey Village none

www.wirral.gov.uk you will find your councillor on that site

Angela Eagle is the Labour member of parliament for Wallasey.
[email protected]
Her office in Wallasey 0151 637 1979
Do you have to use a labour councillor

Don't expect anything but rubbish from the local MP's, they have the job for 5 years and the constituents can be put on the shelf until they are required to vote them back in again in 2015, 2015 will I think come as a suprise when they don't get voted back in.

As we only have to lady conservative councillors in Wallasey and I know both of them to be very hard working.

Sometimes we ask a question only to get the answer we do not want to hear, that does not mean they have not tried.

You can always go to the powers that be and make a complaint.

Angela Eagle is a good MP maybe you should contact her details above.

davew3-- Angela Eagle is bullet proof as is Frank Field not my favourites but good MPs unless the resign they are in for life.

The thread is about councillors, not MPs.

it wasn't the fact she didn't try it was the way in which she replied considering she is our local councillor and has prob written lots of emails she could have worded things better. And I have sent an email to Angela Eagle just awaiting a reply x

Why not ask her why she paid a whopping £1,180 for a new bed and claimed it on expenses which we the taxpayers were expected to pay? Tell her the shop on the corner in Liscard sells them for £199 and to PAY OUT OF HER OWN POCKET!

Probably a good thing that I did not see this post prior to tonights meeting!!

To add a bit of 'background' to my original post about meeting with Angela- this was not at her Surgery, it was a pre-arranged private meeting that I attended as a member of a Wirral based group concerned about the implications of Cuts.

We had a list of questions for her, that by request she had recieved in advance. Perhaps 12 in total covering a whole range of issues that are relevant locally.

In April, myself and others from a local Bedroom Tax Campaign Group visited Angela, at her Surgery, with a hard copy of an e-mail that we had sent her.

She PROMISED to reply and was provided with my personal email address and that of our local Bedroom Tax Group email address- of which I am Secretary.

Anyhow, I asked her why she had not replied to either our email nor hard copy, to which she replied 'I Have'! and handed me a generic statement on creamy, expensive looking official Government paper.

I pointed out that the date on this paper was FEBUARY 2013 and she replied "Uh, well that's what I say"
