Post was collected as I was buying a stamp in the Post Office. He was a good 15mins early and thought he would wait for me to come out - more the fool me! Now I need to go and find a post box tomorrow morning as I had vouchers in my letter. I'll also have to buy another stamp to post it first class now.
Anyone got a freephone number for Royal Mail.

You could try this one 0845 6050767, gives you details of your local delivery office and opening time.I am not certain what you want but I am guessing to complain. This website has contact details.

If you don't want to ring an 0845 number, try www.saynoto0870.com
They list normal landline numbers and sometimes free phone numbers for organisations

They can't empty boxes too early these days. They have an electronic gadget that they have to scan and that times it.

Maybe you were just too late?

The times people used to tell me I was too early yet it was their watches/clocks that were slow.

Customer service replied - they thanked me for informing them!!
Seems the collection was scanned and found to be just over 15mins early. Perhaps they should do thier own monitoring.
Anyway, I paid the extra for 1st class and it was delivered the next day.
