This has probably been asked b4, but does any1 no what the siren is that goes off in or around eastham at 8:45am everyday and whats it used for?

Its a fire alarm at the QE2 dock. Been tested every morning for about 50 years or so.

are you sure on this? I was told it was an alarm related to one of the chemical factories to be used in the event of a leak.

i'm positive, its the general siren alarm at the QE2 dock. Used in case of a fire. It gets tested every morning at 8.45am and has been for years.
