Does anyone know of any good Wirral/Merseyside wedding/covers bands? Preferably one that doesn't charge the earth!

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply turnip. Have you seen funkadelic groove in action? Website looks good, but it's always hard to tell!

Haven't seen them in action but have heard good things about them and they seem on the ball. Because we booked them around 14 months in advance (big day is next july) they emailed us straight away to confirm the date. I think we paid 160 for a dj and karaoke smile you only pay a 50 deposit then the rest on the day which I thought was good too smile

Thanks Turnip! I got a similar quote online. Just trying to decide whether we can afford a band and DJ in between smile

Has no-one seen any good wedding or pub bands lately??

Friend of Mike mine runs Entertain Wirral, does all sorts of packages including Lemon Echo covers band...

some more friends have a soul/funk band called Hotel Sleazy. They're playing Sheridans this Staurday if you want to audition them. Guitarist Terry seems to do most of the promotion...

and more friends in local indie covers band Sugar Shed, been known to take the odd wedding booking. Bassist Iain is the sensible one..

TBH if you're out and about and see a band you like, don't be shy just go up and ask them about it. The worst they will say is "no thanks". Good luck for your wedding.

Thanks for the tips Shambo!

I'll have a look at them now. I work away, so seeing bands is a bit of a problem at the mo! Otherwise I'd be using it as an excuse to go to as many gigs as possible! smile
