Just wondering if this was only used by Hamilton Secondary school or any other of the schools in that area. Trying to recall the name of the playing fields used by the school for football next to Shaftsbury club fields by Tranmere Rovers. Haven't the foggiest whether many schools do outdoor sports much anymore

It was used by Hamilton over 50 years ago when I went there and it is now used by Bidston Avenue primary.

Wasn't there a building next to this at one time, was it related to Park High?

The Co-op youth club in Park Road South used the ground between 1941-1945, for their sports days. Jimmy3.

I used play on that ground when I started playing football at about the age of 6 or something. I think the ground was owned by the council. I use to also play on Shaftsbury boys club.
