Attended the HOD today with Plusone and MissMahjong at 'The Wallaseyans Club'.

'Originally owned by the Billington family
and, later a private school, the buildings
housed service personnel during the
Second World War and are now The
Wallaseyans’ Club. The Wallasey Grammar
School Archives are stored here and will
be on display during the event which
will also include tours of the building'.

Took along School Reports and Letters of my Grandads who attended 1933-1937.

Was amazing to see his name in Records. Not in the War Book though- he must not have informed them. I will quiz him on that!!

Ah, the "down the chimney cricket ball"
Rodney Hill was the batsman. I remember the event quite well

Visited my Grandad today and showed him my pictorial exploits of HOD Week. He said that the 'Bat Story' was originated by cricket playing boys hitting the circular window above the 'main door'in this picture?

For those that don't know- he was born in 1920 and is 96 years old next week
