Granny, I believe the stone in the newspaper article is being held by Peter Crawford as he found it in his garden - though it's such a fine and significant piece that I feel it should be in a local museum - or at least a replica of it.

I think it was Greenwood, maybe still is but I don't know. I used to know Peter , such a very interesting guy who has so much knowledge about Bidston.
It was always fascinating to talk to him.
I saw the stone when it was on display, and they brought the Professor from London up here to give a talk.
