With Hoyle (Hoylake) Trinity Church in the centre, Ferndale Road off to the left and the photographers back to the sea, this was Church Road.

As you say, it is now called Trinity Road.

Looks like it could be my Great Grandmother or Great Aunt crossing the road, in a style of clothing that didn't change much for about 20 years.
