What a very short pier; the river bed must slope steeply there.

Many thanks for posting this photo of Eastham ferry a reflection of its history at that time must have been late 1800,s or early 1900.s.

Another good one Pablo. Love it when you have us all guessing.

Suggest this must be late 1890's or early 1900's,as someone else has indicated.Looks like the 'bustle' has gone. It's hard to pinpoint the fashion of the day to any particular year.
The ferry, I think, must be one of three. Pearl, Sapphire or Ruby which were paddle steamers doing the Liverpool/Eastham run.

How things change. Of course, it's all due to progress!

A really interesting picture - the first I have seen of a ferry boat at Eastham, thanks for sharing it.
