These pictures are fab, my great grandparents got married in this church in 1898. I always wondered what the area looked like around that time. Brilliant!!!

Thanks so much Pablo.Brings back happy memories as I went to St Albans school and church when I was young.
I had no idea a thatched cottage used to be opposite the church and I enjoyed seeing the photos

Is that a GPO motorbike outside A.Watson, just in front of the Vauxhall Victor?

I was wondering that myself. I don't remember them ever having a windscreen though. The days of Telegram Boys !!

Thanks for link.Will look at it over the weekend. I have never heard of 'The Delph' called 'The White Delph' before.
